The project comprises realignment of 8.3 km of 16 December Highway and road widening of Sh. Zayed Highway and Avenue 12 (Salmabad Bypass) from existing two lanes to three lanes carriageway. Project comprises civil and asphalt works, converting all existing roundabouts to traffic signalized junctions, storm water drainage, trunk sewer line and lifting station in Avenue 12, enhancement of street lighting and other road safety features
