Lifted Appointed Person (LEEA Certified)

We are seeking a highly competent and LEEA Certified Appointed Person (AP) to take overall responsibility for the planning, execution, and safety of lifting operations. The successful candidate will be the primary authority on site for all lifting activities, ensuring compliance with LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations).

The Appointed Person will be responsible for producing comprehensive Lift Plans, conducting Risk Assessments, and selecting the appropriate lifting equipment to ensure zero incidents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting Crane Load Charts (Duty Charts).
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating Sling Tension, SWL (Safe Working Load), and Ground Bearing Pressure (GBP).
- Ability to use lift planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, KranXpert, or CraniMAX) is a strong plus.
- Deep knowledge of rigging hardware and rejection criteria (checking for damage to wire ropes, webbing, etc.).
Soft Skills:
- Authoritative leadership style with the confidence to stop unsafe work.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills (English is mandatory; secondary languages are a plus).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential Certifications:
- LEEA Certification: Must hold a valid LEEA Appointed Person for Lifting Operations certificate (or equivalent LEEA Diploma/TEAM Card holder.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in lifting operations (Oil & Gas, Construction, or Heavy Engineering).
- Proven track record of planning Critical/Complex Lifts (e.g., tandem lifts, blind lifts, heavy lifts over 50 tones).
